It is a mattress made up of a core of foam in which the foam is profiled (normally on both sides) in order to allow for use on articulated beds. As the beds are articulated, they aim at the possibility of allowing to raise and lower the feet and/or back and the mattress needs to have the characteristics that allow it to adapt itself to this different non-horizontal positioning. When profiling the foam, a full adaptation to the bed is ensured in an anatomical logic.
