The waste originated by production, seeking to have the least impact possible on the environment by using less resources.

Plastic, foam, fabrics and excess wood, turning them into new materials that are later reused in production.

Refuse

The acquisition of non-indispensable goods. Acquire only what we really need, always giving preference to raw materials, consumables and services with a lower environmental impact.

Sustainable

We created a self-sufficient work process that uses the excess foam from the production of our mattresses. That which would be a waste, becomes a raw material for new components and products, in a virtuous cycle of environmental sustainability and economic recovery.

Durable

The quality of the materials that we use, originate products that will have a longer lifecycle. Consequently, we therefore ensure a sustainable use of the resources, by prolonging the lifecycle of the products and avoiding an anticipated renewal.

Organic

We are concerned with the origin and characteristics of the materials that we use for the first time. We only select recyclable raw materials, the exploitation of which does not have a negative impact on the environment.

Innovative

PBesides our attention with the ergonomics of the products, we also optimize the materials and production techniques. In this way, we aim for a conscientious process and with an inferior carbon footprint.

RAW MATERIALS

Internal production

We produce 70% of the raw materials used in the Lusocolchão products, which allows us to control the entire production process and complete a high level of precision and quality that is unmatched in the market.

Precision in the selection of material

All the materials are analyzed by independent and accredited testing laboratories for content, emissions and durability.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Recyclable

The waste resulting from our production is sent to a partner that transforms it into new matter, reused for new mattresses. The plastic excesses are also forwarded to our plastic production unit, where they are recycled and reincorporated into new products.

The metal waste is selected and stored, whereby it is then delivered to a certified entity that forwards it for recovery. All the other waste from the production process (racks, packaging and others), is appropriately selected and forwarded for recycling and recovery.

ENVIRONMENTAL SUSTAINABILITY

Carbon footprint

We seek to reduce the carbon emissions associated with our production processes and with the medium and long distance transportation. Resorting to photovoltaic solar power is a goal for our factories.
